Dr. Zahir I Kazi is a distinguished practicing radiologist renowned for his exceptional contributions to both education and the medical field. Dr. Zahir I. Kazi has carved an illustrious path marked by academic excellence and pioneering advancements. 

Dr. Kazi's educational journey commenced in some of Goa's finest schools, setting the foundation for his pursuit of excellence. He furthered his academic pursuits with Intermediate studies at a leading institute in the region, demonstrating early commitment to a path of knowledge and skill acquisition.

The culmination of his dedication to medical education led to the attainment of an MBBS degree from the esteemed Goa Medical College, affiliated with the University of Mumbai. His thirst for specialization and mastery in the field led him to pursue a Post Graduate MD in Radiology & DMRD from Topiwala Medical College and Nair Hospital, Mumbai.

Driven by a relentless pursuit of knowledge and global exposure, Dr. Kazi expanded his horizons through fellowship programs at F.M.R.I. - University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, U.S.A., where he imbibed the latest advancements in medical research and technology. Additionally, he honed his skills in Preceptor Ultrasound at M.A.I.U.M. - Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, U.S.A., further enriching his expertise.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Kazi has been an integral part of prestigious hospitals in Mumbai, where he has consistently demonstrated clinical excellence and leadership. Notably, his pioneering contributions to the field of Ultrasound since 1985 have left an indelible mark on the medical community, influencing and shaping practices for the benefit of patients and peers alike.

Dr. Zahir I. Kazi's association with Anjuman-I-Islam, one of the largest inclusive educational conglomerates in India, spans over three decades, marking a journey of visionary leadership and transformative impact.

His remarkable journey with Anjuman-I-Islam commenced three decades ago when he was elected to the esteemed General Council. Over the years, Dr. Kazi's trajectory within the organization has been nothing short of remarkable. From assuming the role of Chairman at Tibbia Medical College and Hospital, where he spearheaded its evolution into a state-of-the-art facility in Versova, to serving as the Honorary General Secretary for three and a half years, his commitment to the institution's growth has been unwavering.

For the past 14 years, Dr. Kazi has held the pivotal position of President at Anjuman-I-Islam, elected for the 5th consecutive term. Under his astute leadership, the institution has undergone a transformative mission marked by consolidation, expansion, and a pursuit of educational excellence. This visionary approach has not only elevated Anjuman-I-Islam's standing on the national stage but also positioned it as a recognized brand internationally.

Dr. Kazi's dedication goes beyond vision to the pragmatic realm, where he ensured the financial stability of Anjuman-I-Islam. His efforts in streamlining processes and documentation with statutory authorities have been instrumental in fostering a robust operational framework.

Hon. Vice President

Mr. Mushtaq Antulay is a distinguished educationist and politician, committed to education and social cause for over four decades. He is the Chairman of Maulana Azad Minorities Financial Corporation (a Govt of Maharashtra undertaking) and the Senior Vice President of Anjuman Islam, the country’s largest minority educational and social institution, engaged in shaping educational landscape of Mumbai for over a century with more than 100 Institutions and over one lakh students. He is the President of The Kokan Unnati Mitra Mandal, a trust having two colleges and one high school in the Kokan Region. He is Trustee and managing committee member of Vasantrao Naik Agricultural Research & Rural Development Centre, which focuses on improving agricultural productivity through technology.

He has been the Chairman on Maharashtra State Pollution Control Board, a director with Punjab National Bank and a Member of Maharashtra Legislative Council. His public life includes being General Secretary and Vice President of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee and has been member of various Central and State Government Committees.

Mr. Antulay completed his graduation in Arts from Mumbai University.

He is currently the Vice President of Anjuman-I-Islam, the country’s largest minority educational and social institution, engaged in shaping educational landscape of Mumbai for over a century with more than 100 Institutes and over one lakh students. He has been Executive Chairman and member of various boards of Anjuman. He is the President of Maharashtra Urdu High School, Kurla, Halavpool Muslim Welfare Association, Kurla and Qaisarul Jafri Foundation, Mumbai. He is the Chairman of Majrooh Academy, Mumbai and Station Road Masjid Trust, Kurla. He is Vice President of Ideal Education Movement, Mumbai and Tanzeem-e-Walidein, Mumbai. His social engagement includes being a Special Executive Magistrate, a member of the police Mohalla Committee, a director of Lions Club and a General Secretary of Kurla Talimi Sabha of Anjuman Tabligul Islam School, Kurla.

Mr. Shoaib Jamkhanawala is a distinguished businessman, has interest in politics and is committed to social cause and education for over 25 years. He is a joint secretary of Anjuman Islam, the country’s largest minority educational and social institution, engaged in shaping educational landscape of Mumbai for over a century with more than 100 Institutes and over one lakh students. He is the founder member and joint secretary of an NGO, Awami Welfare Association, Maharashtra, which manages one college and one high school one high school. Shohab Rais is a senior business leader and works as Advisor (New Projects) with Tata Chemicals Limited, earlier he was Chief Operating Officer for their Indian Chemical Business. His experience of chemicals, consumer durables and other industries includes leading P&L performance, strategy formulation and execution, business operations including manufacturing, marketing, sales, projects, supply chain, finance, risk management, stakeholder relationships, ESG and CSR. He is also recognized for building and leading national and global teams, business process reengineering and leveraging technology.

He has been an active member of Industry fora, including being Chairman, Logistics and Supply Chain Committee of the CII Western Region, Co-Chairperson of National Council on Logistics of ASSOCHAM and executive member/member of many industry associations like AMAI, ICC and CII. He has also presented papers during world soda ash conferences in China, Portugal and France and other government/industry fora in India and abroad.

Dr. Shagufta Sayed is an accomplished academic leader and researcher with over two decades of experience in engineering education and academic governance. Currently serving as the Dean of Academic Affairs at M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering (MHSSCE), she brings a unique combination of academic excellence, administrative expertise, and industry awareness. Her academic journey spans a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Mumbai, preceded by a Master’s degree in Construction Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering.

At MHSSCE, she has led numerous institutional initiatives and academic reforms as a key member of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), College Development Committee, Academic Audit Committee, and Career Advancement Scheme Committee. She also serves as Convener and President of both the College Women Development Cell and Internal Complaints Committee, demonstrating her commitment to inclusive academic spaces. In her department, she has held pivotal responsibilities such as NBA Coordinator, Civil Engineering Consultancy & Testing Centre In-charge, and Advisor to the Civil Engineering Society.

Dr. Sayed’s research primarily focuses on sustainable urban development, green construction, and lifecycle cost analysis. Her Ph.D. research on green components in urban mass housing has been published in reputed journals such as ASCE and Elsevier B.V. She has authored multiple papers in international conferences and national journals, and regularly delivers expert lectures on construction management, infrastructure planning, and sustainability.

She is actively involved in university-level curriculum reform, paper setting, and academic evaluations for institutions such as Mumbai University, Sardar Patel College of Engineering, and NMIMS. She is also a reviewer for international journals including Elsevier’s Sustainable Cities and Society.

Known for her dynamic leadership and student-focused vision, Dr. Sayed has also contributed to college fests, professional development workshops, and faculty training programs. Her extensive exposure to both academia and professional contribution adds practical depth to her academic pursuits.

Dr. Zainab Mirza

Dr. Zainab Mirza is a distinguished Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology at M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai. With over two decades of experience in academia, she brings in-depth expertise in cloud computing, big data analytics, and modern programming technologies. Her academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Jaipur National University, where she explored "Big Data Analytics As a Service (BDAaaS) using NOSQL models from Cloud." She holds an M.Tech. in Information Technology and a B.E. in Computer Engineering, alongside a Diploma in Computer Engineering from MHSS Polytechnic.

Dr. Mirza has significantly contributed to both academic and institutional growth through her involvement in curriculum design, student mentoring, and extensive research output. Her dynamic teaching methods, leadership in Smart India Hackathon, and coordination with AWS Academy initiatives have established her as a forward-thinking educator. Mr. Shrinidhi Gindi is an accomplished academician with over 26 years of teaching experience and 3 years of industry experience as a Service Manager in the telecommunications domain. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology, he combines deep technical expertise with a commitment to value-based education.

His areas of specialization include analog and digital communication, image processing, Internet of Things (IoT), and cybersecurity. With more than 30 publications in reputed journals and conferences, and two design patents to his name, Mr. Gindi is deeply involved in academic research and innovation. He is a sought-after speaker on Universal Human Values (UHV), having conducted over 20 sessions at institutions nationwide. Prof. Farida Attar

Assistant Professor

Ms. Farida Attar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology at M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai, with a total of 26 years of teaching experience including 14 years at the degree engineering level and 12 years at the diploma level.

Assistant Professor

Dr. Ashfaq Shaikh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology Engineering programme at M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai. With over 23 years of experience, he has been dedicated to fostering academic excellence and professional development at the institution. He has published several research papers in reputed international journals and has actively contributed to enhancing the institute’s industry engagement by creating placement opportunities through initiatives like Mastek Deep Blue (Seasons 2 to 10), Amazon DeepRacer and winning several national-level hackathons, and more. He has also organized various Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), including sessions on Big Data Analytics and Stress Management, aimed at supporting the continuous growth of faculty members.

Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed has been serving as the Hon. Director of M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering since 2019, bringing with him over four decades of academic excellence, institutional leadership, and global teaching experience. A proud alumnus of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), he holds a Graduation, Master’s, M.Phil., and Ph.D., all earned from AMU a testimony to his deep-rooted academic foundation.

His doctoral research lies in the application of functional analysis, a field that has far-reaching significance across Engineering Mathematics, Computer Engineering, and Cryptography. His expertise combines mathematical precision with technological relevance, making his academic contributions highly valuable across interdisciplinary domains.

Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed's teaching and leadership journey includes international academic experience at the Faculty of Mining and Metallurgy, Al Fateh University, Libya. Since 1988, he has been associated with Anjuman-I-Islam’s M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, where he served as Principal from 1999 to 2019, and has been steering the institution as Hon. Director since 2019.

Under his visionary leadership, the college has expanded from just three engineering branches to eight, achieved NBA accreditation thrice, and secured NAAC accreditation, transforming into one of Mumbai’s premier engineering institutions. His work reflects a rare blend of academic insight, administrative foresight, and global exposure.

Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed has also served as an Expert with the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC), contributed to several committees of Mumbai University, and participated actively in various professional academic bodies, reinforcing his standing as a respected figure in higher education.

Dr. Ganesh S. Kame, Ph.D. (Civil Engineering) from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, is the In-Charge Principal and senior faculty member in the Department of Civil Engineering at M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering (MHSSCE). With over 18 years of teaching, research, and academic leadership experience, Dr. Kame brings visionary direction and scholarly depth to the institution.

His core expertise lies in Geotechnical Engineering, specifically in the analysis of vertical plate anchors in cohesionless soils, supported by strong foundations in Earthquake Engineering, Finite Element Methods (FEM), and Soil-Structure Interaction. Dr. Kame’s research has been widely published in international journals such as Soils and Rocks, Earth Science Research, Electronic Journal of Geotechnical Engineering, and in conferences like IACMAG.

Ateeque Ur Rehman Khan

Assistant Professor

Mr. Ateequeur Rehman Khan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai. Mohammad Rafi Khan

Assistant Professor

Mr. Mohammad Rafi Khan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai. He has over 28 years of teaching experience in civil and geotechnical engineering and has served in progressive roles from Lecturer to Senior Lecturer to Assistant Professor. Her contributions have earned her awards and recognition from the Government of India’s Election Office.

She has served as an expert advisor on environmental topics for recruitment panels and has delivered expert talks at CIDCO and various academic institutions on sustainable development and industrial waste management.

In addition to her academic and research accomplishments, Dr. Kale has taken on several significant leadership roles. She serves as the Program Officer of the NSS Unit and Coordinator of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell. Dr. Ravindra Patil is an accomplished academician and Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering. With extensive experience in research and teaching, he specializes in image processing, digital signal processing, and embedded systems.

Dr. Patil has contributed significantly to the academic and research landscape through his prolific output of over 25 publications in national and international conferences and journals. He has also authored two books with LAP LAMBERT Academic Publishing. His research primarily focuses on content-based image retrieval (CBIR) and wavelet transforms.

In addition to his academic pursuits, he has organized and participated in numerous AICTE-ISTE approved STTPs and workshops, delivered invited talks, and has mentored student startups. He is also actively involved in institutional responsibilities as NISP Coordinator, NBA/NAAC Committee Member, Assistant Exam Controller, and EDC Cell Coordinator.

Dr. Nayana Chaskar

Assistant Professor

Dr. Nayana Chaskar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai. With over 15 years of teaching experience, she brings academic rigor and a research-driven approach to undergraduate engineering education.

Her doctoral research is focused on high-gain wideband antenna design using PRS and RIS layers, with key interests in metamaterials, EBG-based antennas, and array configurations for 4G and 5G communication. Dr. Chaskar’s academic initiatives include innovative pedagogical approaches such as flipped classrooms and project-based learning, aimed at enhancing student engagement and outcomes.

Dr. Amol Shashikant Sankpal has been associated with M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering since 2011 and currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. With over a decade of academic experience, he combines in-depth subject knowledge with a strong inclination toward emerging semiconductor and nanoscale technologies.

His doctoral research focused on memory device performance at the nanoscale, specifically optimizing retention time and leakage power in DRAM structures. Dr. Sankpal has published several research papers in Scopus-indexed international journals and conferences, including Springer and IEEE, in collaboration with leading researchers in the field.

He has actively participated in numerous Faculty Development Programs, STTPs, and national/international workshops. Zafar Khan

Assistant Professor

Mr. Zafar Aijaz Ahmed Khan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, with over 14 years of teaching experience. He began his academic journey at MHSS Polytechnic in 2010 and has been with MHSS College of Engineering since December 2012. His academic areas of interest include wireless communication, data and information security, and applied machine learning in VLSI design.

In addition to his teaching roles, Mr. Khan has contributed extensively to technical skill development through expert lectures and technical paper judging, and is actively involved in student mentoring and project guidance. His professional affiliations include membership in the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).

Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Shaikh

Assistant Professor & Head of Department (HOD), Department of Computer Engineering

Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Shaikh is currently serving as the Assistant Professor and Head of the Computer Engineering Department at M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai. With a cumulative teaching experience of over 20 years, he has significantly contributed to both academic and institutional growth. He has been associated with MHSSCOE since 2005 and is an active member of CSI and ISTE.

In his academic tenure, he has taken up numerous administrative responsibilities including Alumni Coordinator, Social Media Desk Coordinator, and In-Charge of Programming Lab. He has organized multiple state and national-level hackathons and actively mentors students on technical and career-building platforms.

His Ph.D. research focused on High Speed Biometric Probe Image Retrieval using Big Image Data on Cloud, reflecting his core interests in biometric security, big data, and cloud computing.

Dr. Nazneen Amjad Pendhari

Assistant Professor

Dr. Nazneen Pendhari is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering with over 23 years of academic experience. A recognized researcher and educator, she has made significant contributions in the fields of Image & Video Processing, AI, Deep Learning, Neural Networks, and Compiler Construction. Her Ph.D. research has been ethically approved and recognized for practical application at T.N. Medical College & BYL Nair Hospital, Mumbai.

She has guided over 50 undergraduate projects and hackathon teams, and published more than 40 research papers in reputed journals and conferences. As a proactive leader, she has held numerous academic and administrative responsibilities, including Academic Dean, NBA Coordinator, NAAC Coordinator, and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) Convenor. She is an approved examiner and paper setter for the University of Mumbai and has actively contributed to syllabus revisions.

Dr. Pendhari’s outreach includes talks at prominent organizations like Infosys, Zetta Computech, and Libra Web Solutions. She is a recipient of the Best Paper Award at an international conference in 2021 and is actively engaged in initiatives that promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital learning among students.

: Mr. Anand Bali is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai, with over 25 years of academic experience. Since joining the institute in 1999, he has played an instrumental role in shaping student learning in core computing and electronics subjects such as Programming in C/C++/Java, Digital Electronics, Microprocessors, and Communication Systems.

His early professional journey included industry roles as a Sales Executive at Advent Engineers and Customer Support Executive at Abacus Solutions, which enriched his teaching with practical insights. Mr. Bali has actively contributed to academic development through participation in numerous workshops, STTPs, and faculty development programs. Dr. Md. Lutful Islam is a committed and seasoned academician in the Department of Computer Engineering at M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai. Nafisa M. Mapari

Assistant Professor

Ms. Nafisa M. Mapari is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai, with 16 years of dedicated academic experience. Her areas of teaching expertise include Microprocessors, Object-Oriented Programming, Advanced Operating Systems, and Internet Programming. She has guided numerous undergraduate projects and mentored research work, including prototypes selected under the UNDP-NMMC Innovation Challenge.

She has contributed significantly through publications, workshops, and FDPs, while also actively engaging in department-level event coordination, curriculum planning, and technical guidance. She is a Life Member of ISTE and has undertaken extensive faculty development in emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, NLP, and Cybersecurity.

Ms. Fatima Ansari is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai. Ahlam Ansari

Assistant Professor

Ms. Ahlam Ansari is an experienced Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, with over 14 years of teaching experience. A strong advocate for experiential learning and design thinking, she brings a dynamic blend of education, research, and innovation into her classrooms.

Her academic expertise lies in Cybersecurity, Human-Machine Interaction, Learning Experience Design, and Programming through Experiential Learning. She has actively contributed to institutional growth through roles such as MIT J-WEL Implementation Team Member and Software Development Coordinator for several in-house college systems, including the examination software and 360° feedback tools.

Ms. Ahlam has mentored multiple student teams for the Smart India Hackathon, including first prize-winning teams, and has successfully secured minor research grants from the University of Mumbai. She is also the Convener of CSI-MHSSCE Chapter, Programmers’ Club, and Hackathon ERR_404, building student innovation ecosystems.

Mrs. Samana Jafri is an accomplished academician with 18 years of teaching experience in engineering education. She currently serves as the Coordinator for the Computer Science and Engineering (IoT & Cyber Security Including Blockchain Technology) program and Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering.

She has taught over 15 diverse subjects such as Microprocessors, Embedded Systems, Operating Systems, Big Data Analytics, Artificial Neural Networks, and Data Structures. Mrs. Jafri has organized over 40 student-centric seminars and workshops, contributed to the NBA and NAAC documentation processes, and held roles including Criterion-1 and 5 Coordinator, Lab In-Charge, Budget & Purchase In-Charge, and Class In-Charge.

A dynamic academic and researcher, she has published 15 research papers in reputed national and international journals and conferences, and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. focused on the detection of prostate cancer through AI-enabled medical imaging. Her institutional contributions include organizing POSH workshops and FDPs and mentoring multiple sponsored student projects.

Mr. Zafar Aijaz Ahmed Khan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at M. H. His teaching experience includes core technical subjects such as Operating Systems, Cyber Security, Python Programming, Web Design, DBMS, and Microprocessors. Mr. Shaikh is known for his deep subject expertise, technical versatility, and commitment to mentoring students in both academic and project-based learning.

He has also played a vital role in the growth of institutional activities, serving as Project Coordinator, Newsletter Editor, Soft Skills Development Coordinator, and College Magazine Coordinator. He is a Fellow Member of The Institution of Engineers (India) and has actively contributed to the NBA accreditation process.

Assistant Professor

Ms. Ghazala Khan is currently serving as an Adhoc Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (IoT & Cyber Security including Blockchain Technology) at M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering. With over a year of teaching experience in higher education, she brings an engaging and adaptive teaching style focused on practical understanding and student-centric learning.

Ms. Arshi Khan is an experienced Assistant Professor with over 18 years of academic service in the field of engineering education. Mr. Javed Taili is an accomplished academician and Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics Engineering at M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering. With over 27 years of extensive experience in teaching and academic administration, he has played a pivotal role in curriculum development, lab design, and research mentorship across various departments including Electronics, Computer Science (AI & ML), and Mechanical Engineering.

Mr. Taili has a deep command over advanced topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Control Systems, and Robotics. He has taught a wide range of subjects across disciplines — from Digital Electronics and Electrical Networks to Python Programming and Reinforcement Learning. His interdisciplinary expertise has enabled him to guide numerous final-year projects focused on AI, ML, and robotic automation.

Beyond academics, Mr. Taili has actively contributed to institutional advancement, having established the “Texas Instruments Analog System Lab,” served on the NAAC core committee, and acted as the NBA coordinator for the department. He joined MHSSCE in 2008 and has previously served at Datta Meghe College of Engineering and Rizvi College of Engineering.

He currently serves as the IEEE Branch Counselor, guiding students in various IEEE activities and technical pursuits. He has actively contributed to departmental and institutional initiatives including NBA & NAAC documentation, discipline committee, and training and placement support.
