Anjuman | Early Childhood Development

Early childhood education (ECE) in India faces significant challenges despite the majority of children, slightly over 70%, attending pre-primary education. There are critical gaps in the quality of ECE programs, impacting the educational outcomes of millions of children. Approximately 20 million of the most marginalized children are excluded from preschool, severely affecting their survival, growth, and overall development.

Another major obstacle in ECE is the lack of resources and accessibility. Insufficient supplies and a shortage of trained teachers hinder the provision of high-quality early learning opportunities. Addressing these resource limitations is crucial to improving the effectiveness and reach of early childhood education across India.

Research demonstrates that high-quality early childhood experiences are strongly correlated with improved health, social, and economic outcomes in adulthood.

4000

We reach over Four Thousand preschool children every year.

300

We have over Three Hundred trained staff (teaching & non-teaching).

7500

Over Seven Thousand Five Hundred parents participate in our ECD activities every year.

18

We run Eighteen ECD institutes.

Anjuman tackles these challenges head-on through targeted interventions in early childhood development (ECD). We prioritize enhancing the quality and accessibility of educational resources, conducting rigorous teacher training programs, and advocating for inclusive educational practices. By fostering strong partnerships with parents and communities, Anjuman aims to ensure that every child receives a solid foundation for lifelong learning and holistic development.

Looking ahead, early childhood development and education emerge as critical focus areas. Research shows that children who receive foundational knowledge and learning opportunities at a young age are better equipped to handle the complexities of adolescence and early adulthood.
